Schools

We are privileged to have a wide range of preschool opportunities in our immediate neighborhood, from home daycare, to synagogue nurseries, to Hebrew immersion programs and even a traditional Jewish Montessori.

For day school, elementary and high schools there is also quite a variety in the reasonably commuted area, serving students from our neighborhood to those from out of state.

A selection of local area schools in Essex County include:

• Nursery only: The Lauren Elise Bier Nursery School is housed at Congregation AABJ&D in West Orange. Contact Aliza Maslansky, Early Childhood Director at alizam@aabjd.org or 973-736-1407 x215.
• Joseph Kushner Hebrew Academy offers Nursery 3 and PreK through Middle School. The campus is located in Livingston.
• In Elizabeth, the Jewish Educational Center's Lower School offers Nursery through Middle School; RTMA for high-school-age girls, and RTMA for high-school-age boys. 
• Rae Kushner Yeshiva High School is at the same location as JKHA, and is for grades 9-12.  
• The Frisch School in Paramus is for grades 9-12. 
• Ma'ayanot is an all-girls high school in Teaneck for grades 9-12. 
• TABC (Torah Academy of Bergen County) is an all-boys high school in Teaneck for grades 9-12.
• Golda Och Academy in West Orange offers education for PreK through 12th grade, in two different locations for lower school and high school.
