Dear Members:
Attached please find the Seats and Kibuddim Request Forms for the upcoming Yamim No’raim, as well as a new form that will be used to update and correct the Yizkor booklet. Please review the forms carefully and return them to the shul by Friday, September 9, 2011.

We are pleased to announce that Cantor Simcha Leiner will lead our Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services again this year. Based on last year’s attendance numbers, we expect to reach the maximum seating capacity of our sanctuary. Therefore, reservations for seats will be processed on a first come first served basis for fully paid members. We will make every effort to accommodate your seating needs but we cannot guarantee the exact same seats as last year or additional seats in the same row. Nachum Amsel will once again chair this year’s Seating Committee.
As a reminder, in order to reserve seats, your membership responsibilities must be up-to-date, including dues owed for the 2011-12 fiscal year. You will not be allowed to make reservations at the shul membership rate if you have an outstanding balance. If you have a genuine financial hardship, please contact Ed Croman as soon as possible.
We thank you for your cooperation and we wish you a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year.
Sincerely Yours,
Ed Croman, President
Richard Maron, Secretary

This year’s Seating Committee looks forward to working with all Ohr Torah members to meet your desired seating preferences. We understand that where you sit on Rosh Hashanah/Yom Kippur can be very important to many of you. We will do our best to develop a seating plan that will best meet everyone’s needs. We will be following the process/principles set forth below:
I. PRICING FOR SEATS:
§$160 per seat for paid members
§$110 per seat for paid members who need seats for either Rosh Hashanah or Yom Kippur only
§$320 per seat for Non-Members (will not be processed until after September 9)
II. SEATING REQUEST DEADLINE:
In general, reservations will be processed on a first come, first served basis for fully paid members. However, preferences for specific seats will be given to those who held those seats last year. Like last year, we ask that you review the Seating Chart on the Shul website, www.congregationohrtorah.org/seats, and list in the enclosed Seating Request Form your preferred seat locations. If you do not have access to a computer, the seating charts will be posted in the shul soon. However, please note that:
§We cannot guarantee the exact same seats or additional seats in the same row.
§If we do not receive your seating request by Friday, September 9, your preference for prior year seats may not be honored. After September 9, we will honor requests for specific seats on a first come, first served basis.
§If the shul does not receive your payment (membership and seats) by September 9, again, your preference for prior year seats may not be honored.
§Non-member reservations will not be processed until after September 9, 2011.
§Phone and e-mail reservations willnot be accepted.
We ask for your cooperation in understanding the pressure faced by the Seating Committee. We wish you and your family a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.
Thank you,
Nachum Amsel
